"My name is Ashley Rabon. I am the chair of the Tega Cay Economic Development Commission. We’d like to invite you to our Business Connect event on Wednesday, June 12th, at 7:00 in the Council Chambers at the Glennon Center. It will be a fun, interactive meeting where you’ll have the chance to rub shoulders with other members of the Tega Cay business community. We’ll be discussing local business issues and asking for your input to help make the Tega Cay business environment even better!
We have a great evening planned! The York County Chamber of Commerce will be there to discuss opportunities in the area. They will also teach Social Media marketing techniques to help you grow your business in the digital world. We’ll also be giving away a round of golf for a foursome at the Tega Cay Golf Club.
Our keynote speaker will be Ed Currie, the Founder and President of Puckerbutt Pepper Company and the inventor of the Carolina Reaper Chili Pepper. Ed is an amazing guy and has been featured on television programs with Mike Rowe of “Dirty Jobs” fame and others I’m sure you’ve heard of as well! Ed was recently honored by the Guinness Book of World Records by surpassing his own record with the Carolina Reaper. He now holds the throne with the newly released, “Pepper X” which is now recognized as the hottest pepper in the world!
Ed will share his story with us. It is entertaining, inspiring, and just a great “local boy does good” message. He’ll discuss how he has been successful as a business owner here in the upstate. You don’t want to miss it!
