Curbside Collection begins on Mondays and consists of removing certain bagged yard debris, brush, tree parts, household furnishings, white goods, construction debris, and landscape timbers/crossties. Pick up must be scheduled with City Hall for items which incur a fee as listed in the fee schedule.
Bagged Debris
- Lawn clippings
- Bush clippings
- Leaves
Tree Parts
- Pruned limbs cut to a length of no more than 4 ft.
- Tree parts under 4 inches in diameter.
- Christmas Trees will be picked up at no additional charge provided all ornaments/lights are removed and the tree is placed at the curb.
Fees
- Tree parts (over 4" in diameter)- $150/ truck load
- Brush (more than one load at address)- $150/ truck load
- White Goods (compressors must be removed)- $50/item
- Household Furnishings/ Power Equipment (furniture, lawn mower, etc.)- $50 per item
- Construction Materials (homeowner ONLY- no contractor-generated waste)- $150 per pickup truck load
- Landscape Timbers and Crossties- $200/ truck load
- Household Solid Waste Collection- $17.51/house/month (Signature Waste)
Additional Guidelines and Information
- Brush greater than a dump truck load or tree parts greater than 4 inches requires an additional fee to be paid and scheduled before it is picked up.
- Bagged soil placed by the curb will not be removed by the City.
- Hazardous chemicals can be taken to the York County Recycle Center.
