The "Are You O-Cay Program" is a complimentary outreach initiative that offers a welfare check to at-risk senior citizens and provides assistance to elderly or disabled individuals who may be confined to their homes, living alone, or require the assurance of a weekly phone call to feel secure and protected.
Upon subscribing to the program, a representative from the Tega Cay Police Department will contact you on the specific day(s) and time(s) chosen to ensure your well-being. In the event that you are unable to answer the phone or the line is busy, additional attempts will be made to reach you. If contact cannot be made with the subscriber after a predetermined number of calls (2), an officer will be dispatched to the subscriber's residence to ensure their well-being.
