Chief Crosby

Chief Crosby was appointed as the Chief of Police for the Tega Cay Police Department in November 2021, having previously spent over two decades serving with the Myrtle Beach Police Department. He began his career in law enforcement in 1997 and has since demonstrated his commitment to excellence in public service. Chief Crosby is a native South Carolinian and an alumnus of Columbia College, where he obtained Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Criminal Justice. He is highly qualified, having graduated from the FBI National Command Course, FBI Command College, the FBI Command Institute, and the Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP) at North Carolina State University.

Throughout his tenure at the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Chief Crosby served in various divisions, including Patrol, Investigations, Support Services, and Administration. He also led and served on numerous units, including Beach Patrol, Traffic/Motor, SWAT, CERT, Crime Scene, Real-Time Crime, Property Crimes, Violent Crimes, Hostage Negotiation, Strategic Planning, and Honor Guard. As the head of the Training division, Chief Crosby played an instrumental role in developing policies, procedures, and programs to enhance law enforcement initiatives and officer skills within the city. Additionally, he served as the MBPD's Public Information Officer for four years, providing crucial communications to the community.

Additionally, he is highly committed to earning the trust and respect of community members. His dedication to promoting safety and security for all residents and visitors of Tega Cay is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence.
