The purpose of this program is to aid in preventing the introduction and accumulation of Fats, Oils, and Greases into the City’s wastewater collection system. The presence of these fats, oils, and greases in the wastewater system can cause and contribute to sanitary sewer blockages and obstructions. In 2014, the City of Tega Cay entered into an agreement with the City of Rock Hill, who receives the majority of Tega Cay’s wastewater for treatment, which dictates all policies and procedures in relation to fats, oils, and greases.
All food service establishments are required to participate in this program annually through submitting an application/renewal.
*Note: a $50 permit fee is required. To pay, please call (803) 548-3514 to pay via credit card. You may also mail or drop-off your payment at City Hall, 7725 Tega Cay Drive, Tega Cay, SC 29708. Your permit cannot be approved until payment is made.*
