All Garbage and Recycling Services are handled by Signature Waste

Service Days

Trash in all of Tega Cay will be picked up every Monday.

Recycling for peninsula Tega Cay and new Tega Cay will alternate Tuesdays.

Have your cart(s) out the night prior or by 6 a.m. of your service day.

Recycling

Recycled materials do not need to be sorted when placed in cart.

In your Signature Waste cart: 

• Mixed paper, steel cans, aluminum cans & foil, plastic bottles, jars & jugs (keep the lids on), cardboard, and chipboard. The plastics that are recyclable are only those with a “neck” where the lid is smaller than the body.

Do not place plastic bags into your recycling carts or bag your recycling.

• Bagged aluminum cans can be brought to Fire Station 1 & 2 (1195 Stonecrest Blvd. & 7200 Tega Cay Dr.) this aids in raising funds for the MUSC Children’s Burn Unit.
• Sorted Glass must go to the Baxter Recycling and Collection Center. (1731 Highway 160 )  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Accepted Materials

We only collect trash from Signature Waste trash carts and recycling from Signature Waste recycling carts.   All materials must be placed inside the cart for collection.  Please use the appropriate container on the correct service day.  We will no longer provide service to customers who incorrectly use our carts.

Unaccepted items/materials:

• Containers with flammable
• Hazardous liquid
• Propane tanks
• Lawn mowers
• Power equipment with gasoline motors
• Paint
• Oil (cooking or motor)
• Bricks, blocks, dirt, or construction materia

Do not place leaves or branches in your trash or recycle carts or any other container other than a bag.

Cart Placement

Please make sure that the cart handle is facing your home.

If your cart(s) are not out on day of service and call for us to come back by there is an extra fee imposed before we dispatch a driver back for additional service.
