The City of Tega Cay will celebrate the Christmas and Holiday season with the first ever Ring of Fire event in our area on Saturday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. Residents are invited to light a fire and establish a "ring of fire" around Lake Wylie. This event has occurred in other places around the country, but was first done in the Finger Lakes region in upstate New York. Residents are reminded to comply with the City Burning Ordinance Sec. 34-46 and ensure any fire is contained in an outdoor fireplace, fire bowl, fire pit, or chiminea. It is recommended a garden hose or fire extinguisher is present as well. No fire should be left unattended.
