On Thursday, February 6 at 5:01 p.m., the City was notified of a SSO (Sanitary Sewer Overflow) occurring at 26048 Neptunes Landing. After investigating, the SSO was related to the amount of rainfall that had occurred throughout the day. The estimated spill total is 5,400 gallons. The South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control (DHEC) has been notified, “No Swim Advisory” signs have been placed in the Cove area and the City will begin taking lake samples this morning until favorable results are obtained.
