Funeral Services for former Mayor Bob Runde will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018, at 1 pm. Services will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Ft. Mill. Former Mayor Runde was not able to participate in this year’s 4th of July Parade, so at his wife’s request, there will be a procession for the family led by our Tega Cay Police Department and Tega Cay Fire Department down Tega Cay Dr. and will follow the parade route down Windward before heading to church. The procession will begin at 12:30pm. If you would like to participate in the procession, we encourage you to stand along the route (you should not stand in the median on Tega Cay Dr. as you would during the 4th of July parade). As the processional passes Runde Park, it will pause for a moment of silence before continuing on. Former Mayor Runde and his family were among the first families to ever come to Tega Cay long before we were a City. We hope that you will be able to stand along the route as a way to pay your respects to his family.
