Kidde announced a recall of 12 million various smoke and CO alarms. The models being recalled are:
- I12010S residential smoke alarms manufactured between 12.18.13 and 05.13.14
- I12010SCO combination smoke/CO alarms manufactured between 12.30.13 and 05.13.14
- KN-COSM-IBA combination smoke/CO alarms manufactured between 10.22.13 and
05.13.14
The affected units are the hard-wired type, and apparently can fail to operate after a power outage. It appears these units were also sold by Home Depot, so please take note if you have purchased from them in the past year.
