Wastewater Treatment Plant Project Update
The City of Tega Cay Utilities Department is providing an update regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project.
Mobilization has been rescheduled to February 23, instead of the original January 19 start date.
Initial activity will include delivery of small equipment and materials, placement of a temporary office trailer on site, and earthwork operations involving soil movement between the WWTP #2 and WWTP #3 sites.
The areas most likely to experience increased activity include sections of Timberlake Drive, Tega Cay Drive, Windward Drive, Marquesas Avenue, and Greenview Court. Contractor vehicles and construction materials will access the treatment plant via Greenview Circle, traveling from Tega Cay Drive through Windward Drive and Marquesas Avenue before entering Greenview Circle, where the plant is located on the golf course.
Residents may notice an increase in contractor vehicles and equipment in the area as this work begins.
These improvements are part of the City’s ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure reliability and support long term wastewater treatment performance.
