Mission Statement
We will be professional at all times in our appearance, action, skill and knowledge.
We will focus our attention on each person in Tega Cay that needs our service.
We cannot control what we face, but we can control what we provide:
Protection & Service
As Chief of Police it is my privilege and honor to
serve the Citizens of Tega Cay.  I am committed to
providing the highest level of service and
protection.  As our mission statement says, it is
important to me that each Citizen receives the
service and attention that they need, when they
need it.
My philosophy for the Department, since I became
Chief in 1998, emphasizes a balance of
professionalism, enforcement, education and
positive public relations.  My continued pursuit of
community oriented policing will help to improve
daily relationships with the Citizens of Tega Cay,
and hopefully this website will assist in that
endeavor.  Above all else, the problems and
concerns of our Citizens are my priority and that of
my staff.  I want everyone to know that my door is
always open, and if there is a problem or concern,
please feel free to stop in and talk to me about it.  I
am here to help.
The Department's goals, missions and services can
not be completely efficient without the support and
understanding of you, the Citizens of the
community.  I ask for your continued support of
the Tega Cay Police Department.
Please enjoy our website and return frequently to
view our updated files on topics of criminal justice
and community interest.

Sincerely,
Rick A. Evelsizer
Chief of Police
