Committees
The City of Tega Cay would not be what it is without our volunteers.  They strive to make "The Good
Life" even better.  Every year, our volunteers and staff work hard on such events as the Spring
Clean-up Day, 4th of July Celebration, Fall Festival, our Tega Cay Summer Concert Series, the
Annual Volunteers' Dinner, & the Christmas Tree Lighting celebration just to name a few.  If you
have pictures from any of these events, or photos from around Tega Cay, please send them to us so
that we may share them with others.
The Good Life
  • Beautification Committee- Membership to the Beautification Committee is open to
    everyone with unlimited enrollment.  The Committee serves as an advisory committee to staff and
    council in regards to planting & maintaining public landscaping.  Schedule of Events
  • Board of Zoning Appeals- This is a quasi-judicial committee that hears cases presented by
    citizens regarding variances to zoning ordinances, as well as, consideration & approval of special use
    permits.
  • Finance Committee- This committee is responsible for monitoring current budgets and
    providing recommendations and analysis of financial matters concerning the city to City Council.

  • Parks & Recreation Committee- This committee serves as an advisory committee to staff
    and council in regards to City parks, athletic facilities and programs.  This committee oversees and
    implements various community wide events such as the Summer Concert Series, annual Candy Cane
    Hunt, and movies in the park.  
  • Planning Commission- This committee makes recommendations to City Council in regards to
    plans, developments, and future growth.
  • Public Works Committee- This committee reviews and makes recommendations to City
    Council on matters relating to public infrastructure and planning future infrastructure including
