Responsibilities

It is the mission of the Tega Cay Police Department to be professional at all times in our appearance, action, skill and knowledge.  We will focus our attention on each person in Tega Cay that needs our service.  We cannot control what we face, but we can control what we provide:  PROTECTION & SERVICE.


The Tega Cay Police Department is comprised of 21 sworn police officers and support staff.  Our Patrol Officers cover the residential and commercial areas within our City, as well as provide assistance to other Law Enforcement agencies when the need arises.


Goals

The main goal of the Tega Cay Police Department is to create and maintain a safe, secure environment for all Tega Cay citizens. We strive to accomplish this goal through proactive community programs designed to prevent crime as well as efficient, thorough investigations of crimes committed. 

   
MARCH 1 - SEPTEMBER 30: PARKING OF BOAT TRAILERS IS PERMITTED IN GARAGES AND/OR DRIVEWAYS. 

OCTOBER 1 - FEBRUARY 28: 72 HOUR PERMITS FOR BOATS, TRAILERS  AND RECREATIONAL VEHICLES MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE TEGA CAY POLICE DEPARTMENT, MONDAY- FRIDAY, 8 AM- 4 PM.
