| The City of Tega Cay is located on Lake Wylie, north of the Catawba River in York County, SC. The name Tega Cay is Polynesian for “Beautiful Peninsula.” |

| Welcome to Tega Cay! Tega Cay is a small city with many big amenities. We are situated on the shores of Lake Wylie in South Carolina where you can enjoy fishing, water skiing, or just spend a quiet day on the lake with your family and friends. We also have a 27 hole golf course that winds throughout the peninsula of the City. As a recreational community, we have many parks, ball fields and walking trails to go along with our sports programs or to enjoy a leisurely walk. If you are looking for a place to start your family, enjoy your family or retire, Tega Cay is where you want to be. My wife, daughter and I moved here for the “Blue Ribbon of Excellence’ school district of Fort Mill in 2006 and we have not been disappointed. Please, do as we did, visit Tega Cay. | The city has many recreational facilities which include: 27 HOLE GOLF COURSE with a clubhouse & COMMUNITY/CONFERENCE CENTER, 8 lighted tennis courts (4 public/ 4 Private), Beach and Swim Center, miles of walking trails, 3 Parks containing baseball and soccer fields, 4 Waterfront Parks, a Marina, and 3 Boat launch areas. |
