On behalf of our City Council and all of our residents, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our City website.
Our slogan is "the Good Life" based on the natural beauty of our city, the varied interests of our residents,
the recreational and social opportunities available to us and our city founders' vision of active residents
working together to achieve a high quality of life.  From the very beginning we have been a community of
volunteers, and almost all of our residents get involved in some of the many activities available to us.
Our city offers organized sports, lake activities, golf, tennis, athletic fields, walking trails, beach & swim
center, lots of neighborhood parks, civic and social clubs, concerts, festivals and much more.  We have a city
owned clubhouse and a new community center is planned for early 2008.  Whether you have a young
family or you are retired, there is plenty to help you enjoy "the good life."  We are proud of our open
government, as evidence by our Council meetings on Channel 19, as well as, community information
available on Channel 19, the Mayor's email updates, and on this website.
Having lived here since 1972, I personally hope you find Tega Cay to be the wonderful community that my
family and I have enjoyed for over 35 years.  If you have any general questions regarding Tega Cay or the
website, please contact us at

Sincerely,
Bob Runde,
Mayor
